It’s only normal that our leaders start looking for things to tax when they don’t know what else to do. After all, revenue, to most of them is generated that way, certainly not a product of NOT doing anything and waiting out the free market. I’m okay with a 6% tax on alcohol I guess. At least they didn’t raise the gasoline tax, which was a discussed option, though you didn’t hear much about it. There is one thing that would raise a lot of money if we could get it done. You know the old “Cuss Jar”, right? When you put a dollar in a jar every time you cuss? How about a “You showed you’re a** jar?” For every time an elected official shows his or her thoughts came directly from their hind-parts in some speech... they put some money in the jar?
Oh, come on!... you know we’d be out of this recession in a week or two! We could really afford to give money away then!
The second and third ‘toon simply let a little of my disappointment and dismay with President Obama’s choice for VP. It was his first Presidential Decision. Look what he did with that. Mr. Biden is more than a loose cannon… a cannon can’t reload and fire again as quickly as Mr. Biden. Good job, Mr. Obama. I feel better now.
